More Than Money: June Community Note
by Subomi Plumptre

Our company’s billboard just went up. It carries our mission: “We help the honest and hardworking to create wealth.”

When my parents died within six months of each other, I dedicated my life to helping folks build wealth so retirement would be easier to bear.
My dad was a civil servant, and my mom a homemaker who created four businesses while raising six children.
Yet, they died in Nigerian hospitals – victims of a system that often punishes those who live within their means and choose not to be corrupt.
I set up Volition Cap to change the narrative. It’s why our company has a free investment course, which we are translating into every language spoken in Africa, beginning with English and French. It’s also why we offer free investment planning sessions by licensed fund managers.
Maybe we’ll make a dent in the financial universe, or maybe we won’t. Perhaps the system will win, and honest people will again have to fight for the right to prosper.
But the journey would have been worth it.
I invite you to learn about what we’re building on our website.
