Can you Afford it?

Yesterday, I had an epiphany. I can’t afford something if perchance it gets destroyed and I can’t conveniently replace it.

It’s simple really. I can’t afford a car if I don’t have the money to make basic repairs in the event of a fault. However, I may be able to afford it if my company picks up the tab for maintaining the car. There are different ways to afford things. Some you buy, some are given.

Yesterday, I determined to only buy things I can afford. This means I will live an spare life until I can afford to live in abundance. This gives me a sense of freedom – I’m not holding on to anything and I have little fear of losing anything.
