Stagnation

Watch

I was deeply unhappy for months. I wrote about it here. Recently, I read something that brought home a major cause of unhappiness in people’s lives – lack of progress. We have an image in our minds of what life should be. As long as we don’t seem to be moving towards that picture, we become deeply dissatisfied. It’s like the scripture that says, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick.”

Sometimes, we feel guilty because in this era of motivational speakers, we’re made to feel the cause of our failure is us. We are not driven enough. We don’t have faith. But talk to the gifted living under the bridge who gave all they had. Sometimes ish just happens.

Today, I pray that the mercy of God will find you. I pray for intervention of miracle-like proportions. I pray for movement; for progress. You will move forward.
